IEEE International Conference on

Evolving and Adaptive Intelligent

Systems 2026 (IEEE EAIS 2026)

From 21/09/2026 To 23/09/2026

University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy

Welcome to IEEE EAIS 2026

The development of novel, innovative, and intelligent systems capable of high flexibility, autonomy, and continuous adaptation represents a fundamental challenge in modern Artificial Intelligence research. The field of Evolving and Adaptive Intelligent Systems (EAIS) addresses this challenge by enabling models and algorithms that are not only designed to solve specific problems, but that can evolve, adapt, and learn over time, even after deployment.

Inspired by continuous and life-long learning paradigms, EAIS systems are designed to operate in complex, dynamic, and non-stationary environments, where data streams, concept drifts, or unexpected behaviors require robust adaptation strategies. These systems have proven to be essential across a wide range of real-world applications, including autonomous systems, smart manufacturing, health monitoring, robotics, and intelligent transportation, where flexibility, resilience, and responsiveness are critical.

Over the past decade, EAIS has emerged as a rapidly growing and impactful research area on the international stage. Its embedded modeling and learning methodologies are capable of addressing real-time constraints, changing operational conditions, human-in-the-loop interaction, knowledge evolution, and online data processing, making it highly relevant for both academic research and industrial applications.

The 2026 IEEE Conference on Evolving and Adaptive Intelligent Systems (EAIS 2026), to be held in Pisa, Italy, will provide a stimulating and inclusive environment for the exchange of ideas, the presentation of cutting-edge research, and the discussion of open challenges in the field. The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to shape the future of intelligent systems that can learn, evolve, and adapt over time.
